Who we are and what this covers

This privacy policy covers Hive Hop, published by Swarmygames (“we”, “us”), the developer named on our App Store and Google Play listings. It applies to our games on iPhone, iPad and Android, to our web games played in a browser (on this website or on a web game portal), and to this website. We are based in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.

We decide how the personal data described here is used, which makes us its controller under the EU and UK GDPR and the personal data controller under Vietnam’s Law on Personal Data Protection (Law 91/2025/QH15) and Decree 356/2025/ND-CP.

Privacy questions and requests: hello@swarmygames.com.

What we collect and how

You play without an account. We never ask for your name, email address, phone number, contacts, photos, camera, microphone or precise location. The game and the services built into it collect the following automatically while you play:

DataWhat exactlyWhy we use itWho handles it
Device or other IDsAdvertising ID (IDFA on iOS, only if you allow tracking; Android advertising ID), Firebase installation IDAds, ad frequency and fraud prevention, analyticsGoogle AdMob, Google Firebase
App activityLevels played, scores, session length, which buttons and screens you useAnalytics, balancing levels, fixing problemsGoogle Firebase Analytics
App info and performanceCrash logs, diagnostics, device model and OS versionFinding and fixing crashesGoogle Firebase Crashlytics
Approximate locationCountry or city worked out from your IP address (never GPS)Showing ads allowed in your region, fraud preventionGoogle AdMob
Purchase historyWhich in-app items you bought and the store receipt (never your card details)Delivering purchases, restoring them, refundsApple App Store, Google Play Billing

In web games, your progress and settings are saved in your own browser’s storage and stay on your device. Where a web game shows ads or measures play, our ad and analytics partners may also read or write cookies or similar identifiers in your browser, and only after you agree wherever the law requires consent.

We also keep what you send us yourself, for example an email with your player ID.

How we use it and why we may

  • To run the game and deliver what you buy: purchase records and the data needed to restore them. Legal basis: performing our contract with you.
  • To find and fix crashes and balance levels: crash reports, diagnostics and gameplay statistics. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in a game that works, which does not override your rights because the data is not used to identify you.
  • To show ads that pay for free games: advertising identifiers and approximate location. Personalised ads only with your consent; without it you see non-personalised ads. Legal basis: consent for personalised ads; legitimate interest for non-personalised ads and fraud prevention.
  • To answer you: what you write to us. Legal basis: your request.
  • To meet the law: tax and accounting records of purchases, and age-related obligations. Legal basis: legal obligation.

We use data only for these purposes. We do not make decisions about you by automated means that have legal or similarly significant effects, and silence or inactivity never counts as consent.

Ads, tracking and your choices

Ads in our apps are served by Google AdMob, and ads in our web games by Google’s ad services for web games. On first launch, where the law requires it (for example in the EU, the UK, Switzerland and California), the game shows a consent message from a Google-certified consent management platform asking whether you agree to personalised ads. You can change your answer at any time from Privacy settings in the game’s settings, or from the Privacy settings link in a web game.

  • iPhone and iPad: the game asks for permission through Apple’s App Tracking Transparency prompt before the advertising identifier (IDFA) is read. If you say no, the IDFA is never collected. You can change this in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
  • Android: you can delete or reset your advertising ID in Settings → Google → Ads (or Settings → Privacy → Ads). Once deleted, apps receive no ID.
  • Web browsers: you can decline in the consent message, clear cookies at any time, and we treat a Global Privacy Control signal from your browser as a request to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal data where the law recognises it.

We never link your advertising identifier to your name or any other identifier, and we never sell personal data for money. Under some US state laws, using advertising identifiers for ads across apps and websites counts as “sharing” or “targeted advertising”; to opt out, say no to personalised ads in the game or write to hello@swarmygames.com with the subject “Do not sell or share”.

Who else sees it

We share data only with the service providers below and only for the uses in this policy. Each of them is bound, by contract or by its own terms, to give your data the same or equal protection as this policy and the App Store and Google Play rules require. They act on our behalf, or as independent controllers under their own privacy policies (for example Google for ads):

If you play one of our web games on a web game portal (another company’s website), that portal is responsible for the data it collects itself, under its own privacy policy, and may show its own ads and consent message.

We may also disclose data when the law requires it, to protect players or our games from fraud and abuse, or as part of a sale or merger of our studio, in which case this policy keeps applying to your data.

AI and your data

Our games are designed and built by AI agents. That happens before a game reaches you and needs none of your data. We do not use your personal data to train AI models and we do not share it with third-party AI services. If a future game ever needs to, it will tell you which data goes to which service and ask your explicit permission inside the game first, and this policy will say so.

Children and age

Our games are made for a general audience and are not directed at children under 13. Where a game asks your age, it asks neutrally, without suggesting an answer. Players under 13, or under 16 in the EU, the UK and Vietnam, get non-personalised ads only, no advertising identifier is collected from them, their data is not used for profiling, and ads come only from networks certified for families.

On some devices and in some places, Apple (Declared Age Range) or Google Play (Age Signals) may tell a game which age range you are in. We use that only to give you an age-appropriate experience and to meet legal obligations, never for ads or analytics, and we do not store it on our servers.

We do not knowingly collect personal data from children without a parent’s consent. If you are a parent or guardian and think your child has given us personal data, write to hello@swarmygames.com and we will delete it.

Where your data goes

Our service providers store data on servers in the United States and other countries outside Vietnam and the EU. When data leaves Vietnam we do so under the cross-border transfer rules of Vietnam’s Law on Personal Data Protection and keep the required transfer impact assessment. For data from the EU, the UK and Switzerland, our providers use the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses or another lawful transfer safeguard.

How long we keep it

  • Gameplay statistics: up to 14 months.
  • Crash reports: 90 days.
  • Advertising data: as set out by Google in its own policy; we keep none ourselves.
  • Web game progress and settings: in your browser, until you clear your browser data.
  • Purchase records: as long as tax and accounting law requires, usually up to 10 years.
  • Emails to us: two years after the conversation ends.
  • A record that you asked us to delete data: two years, to show we did it.

When a period ends, the data is deleted or made anonymous so it can no longer be linked to you.

How we protect it

Data travels encrypted (HTTPS) between the game and our providers, access to provider dashboards is limited to the studio and protected by two-factor sign-in, and we collect only what the uses above need. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach puts your data at risk we will tell the authorities within 72 hours and tell you where the law requires it.

Your rights and how to use them

Wherever you live, you can ask us to:

  • tell you what data we hold about you and give you a copy;
  • correct it, or delete it (delete your data);
  • stop or limit using it, or object to its use for ads;
  • withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting what was done before.

To withdraw consent or say no: open Privacy settings in the game (or the link in a web game) to turn off personalised ads; on iPhone turn off tracking in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking; on Android delete your advertising ID; in a browser, decline in the consent message or clear cookies. To have data deleted, follow the delete your data steps.

Write to hello@swarmygames.com and include the player ID shown in the game’s settings so we can find your data; we never ask for more than we need to confirm the request is yours. We answer within 30 days, or 45 days where US state law allows, and never treat you differently for using these rights.

Vietnam: you also have the right to complain to the Ministry of Public Security’s personal data protection authority and to claim compensation. EU, UK and Switzerland: you can complain to your local data protection authority. United States: residents of California and other states with consumer privacy laws can ask to know, correct and delete their data and to opt out of targeted advertising, sale or sharing, also through an authorised agent; if we turn a request down, reply to our answer to appeal, and if the appeal is refused you can contact your state attorney general.

This website

swarmygames.com uses no cookies, no analytics and no trackers, and loads nothing from other companies. Our web host, Cloudflare, keeps standard server logs (IP address, time, page) for a short time to keep the site secure. Your browser remembers the language you pick on this device; that choice never leaves it.

Changes to this policy

When we change this policy we update the date at the top. If a change is significant, we tell you in the game before it takes effect and, where the change needs your consent, ask for it again.
